Ruqya Treatment: The Most Effective Spiritual Healing Method
“And We send down in the Qur’ān that which is a cure and a mercy to those who believe”. (Sūrāt al-Isrā, 17:82]
Most people look at the Quran as a source of guidance in religious matters only, but the fact is that this sacred book contains guidance and prescriptions to deal with all kinds of social, economical, spiritual, and physical matters. It has the power to heal all kinds of spiritual and physical ailments, chief among them being demon possession, black magic, and evil eye. People don’t often realize that understanding the source of healing is a healing in itself. Those who do, however, find it rather easier to achieve blessings and receive spiritual healing. Allah (SWT) has already made it clear in the holy book of Quran that those who believe will find true healing in the words of their Creator. Now it is up to us whether we want to strengthen our belief and seek help from Allah (SWT) or turn away from His guidance.
For ruyqa treatment to work, it’s essential that the person suffering from any spiritual or physical illness must have sincere faith, pure intention, and firm conviction in the mercy of Allah (SWT). When these three conditions are met, any problem which the ruqya treatment is performed for will be brought around and successfully cured, InshaAllah. No matter how serious the problem or what its nature, there’s an enduring shifa (healing) in ruqya treatment that no other treatment method can provide. Most treatment methods used in clinical and health facilities usually drop by the wayside when they confront hard spiritual problems like jinn possession, black magic, evil eye, or magic spells. Ruqya, on the other hand, is the only form of treatment that has the ability to not only diagnose these occult cases but also exterminate them for good.
Ruqya treatment can be a true blessing in the modern world as it has always been since the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). There’s a narration from Abu Sa’eed in Sahi Muslim which is perticularly worth mentioning here:
Abu Sa’eed reported that Jibreel came to Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) and said: “O Muhammad, have you fallen ill?” Thereupon he said: “Yes.” Jibreel said: “In the name of Allah, I perform ruqya on you, from everything that would harm you, and from the evil of every person or envious eye, may Allah cure you. In the name of Allah, I perform ruqya on you.” (Muslim)
This signifies the benefits and importance of ruqya treatment, making it all the more applicable in the modern world where the presence of all kinds of spiritual and psychological diseases are growing in greater numbers than ever before. May Allah (SWT) give us guidance and open our hearts to the holy book of Quran where there’s healing for everything.
